    Bad Trade Offers - 2014

    Just thought that I'd start a thread for bad trade offers. In a 14 team Yahoo league (Non-PPR), start 2 RBs, 3 WRs and no flex. I updated my trading block to say that I was willing to deal a WR (D. Thomas, Jeffery, Mi. Floyd, Benjamin or G. Tate) for an upgrade at RB (A. Morris, B. Tate, Pierce, T. West & J. Hill). I got the following offer this morning:

    I get MJD, I give Jeffery.

    Here was his comment that accompanied the offer:

    "MJD has a rough week, but on a raiders team that is likely to run the ball he may get more and more touches. I am comfortable with my other RB's, so if interested make an offer (Jeffrey was to get things started, i would consider others). If not, I understand best of luck!"

    The other owner had D. Murray, Vereen & MJD as his RBs and K. Allen, Garcon, Colston, Shorts & Hartline as his WRs

      Omigosh, I thought I got two bad trade offers this week, but that's as bad as I've ever seen.

        I'd counter with G Tate for MJD. Maybe.
        Considering his only baseball post in the past year was bringing up a 3 year old thread to taunt Hornsby and he's never contributed a dime to our hatpass, perhaps?

            I told him that MJD would be a RB3 at best on my team. I said to let me know if he wanted to discuss Murray or Vereen. Otherwise I wasn't interested.

              For Jeremy Maclin, I was generously offered Blake Bortles. The logic being I already have Chad Henne and it would make sense to lock up the Jax QB situation.

              Granted, the league is DEEP, and 2 QB starting each week is pretty necessary...but C'mon Man!
              Considering his only baseball post in the past year was bringing up a 3 year old thread to taunt Hornsby and he's never contributed a dime to our hatpass, perhaps?

                A lineup of QB, QB, WR, WR, WR, RB, RB, TE, R/W/T (and K and DEF)

                Two offers that went back and forth, are these both bad, or is one fair?

                Team A: Vereen/Wheaton for Team B: Foles/Garcon

                Team A: Murray/J.Hill for Team B: Foles/T.Smith

                Team B is looking for a RB.

                  Vereen/Wheaton for Foles/Garcon isn't bad, but if I'm Team B, I'm doing the Murray deal.

                    He gives me:

                    Kaepernick ($8)
                    Ingram ($18)
                    Crabtree ($8)

                    I give up:

                    Rodgers ($59)
                    Crowell ($1)
                    Pitta ($5)

                    Basically this guy is a big Browns fan and wants Crowell pretty bad.

                    I'm probably going to accept this.

                    The scoring method is as follows: Pass/Rec TD's = 3 pts Rush TD's = 6 pts.

                    Agree with me accepting?

                      Looks like a good deal gris.
                      Bob- I'm not exactly sure it would ROCK as you say it Byron.. it may be cool, by typical text book descriptions. Your opinion of this is shallow and poorly constructed, but allow me to re-craft your initial thought into something tangable.

                            What's your starting lineup look like now along with your bench? Just trying to get an idea of what each trade would do to your lineup.

                              Looks like a good deal for you - some potential good keepers in Kaep and Crabtree at single digits as well.
