  • Week 1 Flex - Randall Cobb, Chris Johnson or C.J. Spiller

Again, 14 team 0.5PPR league. Looking at my flex options:

    Randall Cobb at Seattle
    Chris Johnson vs Oakland
    C.J. Spiller at CHI

Cobb has a tough matchup against Seattle and Johnson & Spiller have good matchups. Would you sit Cobb for one of these RBs in Week 1?
    14 Team 1/2PPR league (1 Keeper)

QB: Rivers (3), Stafford (5), Keenum (NA)
    RB: Kamara (11), McKinnon (7), Bernard (7)
WR: M. Thomas (NA), Crabtree (1), Shepard (8), Wallace (NA), Cobb (NA)
    TE: Olsen (NA)
    K: Lutz (7)
    DEF: JAX (7)

    (We start 1 QB, 1 RB, 2 WRs, 1 RB/WR/TE, 1 TE, 1 K and 1 DEF)

Last year Seattle gave up the least points to opposing WRs in our league (19.53 per game). The Bears gave up the 2nd most points to RBs (26.59 per game) and the Raiders gave up the 6th most (23.89 per game).

I'm going with Spiller of that bunch. I play matchups when players are fairly even...and I don't consider Johnson even with the other two at all.
Considering his only baseball post in the past year was bringing up a 3 year old thread to taunt Hornsby and he's never contributed a dime to our hatpass, perhaps?

Can't go by last year since SEA lost a couple of guys in the defensive backfield from last year's crew. I'm taking Cobb out of this bunch.

I'd like to see if the refs continue calling the rules like they did in preseason. This could really hurt Seattle's secondary. I would go with Cobb.

Until they prove otherwise - based on last year's performances - Seattle is really good against the pass and Chicago is horrible against the run. Add in that Spiller is healthy and (at least on paper) listed is the #1 back, I'd go with CJ.

I'd take Cobb because you know what his role is. I am still uncertain what the Bills will do with CJ.

Well, if you get points for return yards, Spiller is the guy.

Seriously, WTF are they doing in Buffalo?
