You gotta love Russell Wilson -- first inteview after winning the Super Bowl, and he finishes by saying "Go 'Hawks!" like he was quarterbacking a high school team.

Driving home from my neighbors in suburban Seattle there were 12 year old boys in shorts and no shirts screaming, dancing, and lighting fireworks at every intersection. It was hilarious. Apparently no riot downtown so far which is cool...

Fans leaving the stadium experienced extremely long delays due to the NJ transit system being unable to handle the large number of train passengers. Fans were told to wait inside the stadium because of the long lines at the train station. Charter buses had to be brought in to take some of them to Manhattan. Some fans didn't leave the stadium until almost 1:00 am.

LOL at this comment on another forum:
"Imagine if you're a Broncos fan that paid out of his a** for a ticket, tried to leave 10 mins early and was stuck at the stadium because the trains were full. Worst day ever."

            From the posted article above:

"By early this morning, NJ Transit had transported 32,900 people back from the MetLife Stadium, said John Durso Jr., an agency spokesman."

"NJ Transit brought in 20 charter buses...as part of a contingency plan.... The buses took 1,112 customers out of the lines for the trains at MetLife Stadium and dropped them off at the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan, significantly cutting down the lines."

"...the agency also opened a second track to accommodate the large crowds, allowing two trains to be loaded at once. Each 10-car train carries about 1,600 people...."

Huh? So 31,788 people took trains, at 1600 a pop, or about 20 trains. But moving 1,112 by buses significantly cut down the lines. Uh huh. Those buses saved a whole 1 extra trip for the trains. Wow. Good planning there.
Considering his only baseball post in the past year was bringing up a 3 year old thread to taunt Hornsby and he's never contributed a dime to our hatpass, perhaps?

Oh, what could have been -- snow started in this area about 3 hours ago and 5" to 8" are expected by 5pm today.

I was there and it's true - but only because the buses didn't come til around midnight, so it cut into a lesser fustercluck.
On Monday, they told me 10K to 12K would arrive by train. juuuuuuuuuust a little outside...

C'mon, they only had two and half years to prepare for this day.

NJ Transit already has thrown NFL under the bus, as it were, on Twitter:

“In the first ever #TransitBowl, we successfully & safely moved 4x as many fans as projected by NFL days before #SB48 (more than 33,000)”

Same snowfall started in Western PA right at the beginning of the Super Bowl and just stopped around 1pm today.

So it turns out the Chili Peppers faked all but the vocals of their performance. I suppose we could assume Bruno Mars' band did the same for the same reasons.

Better weather than Beyonce for the Obama spectacle, but hard to ask someone anyway to perform outdoors in non-optimal conditions. It's mostly a TB show anyway. The concession stands were doing great business during the halftime show, believe me.

Even for the $13 hot dogs?

Funniest part was, the guy who spotted and broke the news was Living Colour bassist Vernon Reid, who tweeted out that Flea's bass guitar was not plugged in.

Vernon is Living Colour's guitar player. Yes, I care about such details.
