Does Washington have any defenders in the backfield today? Rodgers with 325 yards -- AT THE HALF.

Meriweather knocked out Lacy, and them himself, with concussions on separate plays.
his wallet will be lighter next week.

meanwhile, Shanahan already looking ahead to a tour of duty as a motivational speaker fulltime.
last week, his team down 33-7 at half, and only score is a fluke of a sideways pass by Vick that was tipped, and a 90 yard runback for TD.

today, down 24-0 at half, and Packers guy lunged for TD late to make it 31-0 - but it left his hand at the 1 and then hit the pylon while still airborne - so that's a touchback.

Dr. Kevorkian gives better pep talks than this guy....

Update: Shanahan is also the most famous of the many NFL coaches who are unable to conceive of a situation more than one play at a time. He has a substitute kicker for injured Horvath today, but it doesn't occur to him on 3rd down that risking an incompletion rather than a decent running gain means a 50-yard FG that the guy probably won't - and didn't - make already down 24-0.

meanwhile, he punted in the 1st half rather than try a .... 51-yard FG.
      lol

his Redskins also already have four special teams penalties, one more absurd than the other. just a terrible job.

Chiefs and Cowboys both clueless down the stretch - no surprise there

Chargers outcoach the Eagles to win in crunch time - shock to longtime Chargers fans, and Chip Kelly managing that clock like a true NFL veteran coach! lol

Ridiculous personal foul on Adrian Clayborn sacking Drew Brees, negating a fumble recovery by the Bucs.

Lions down 4 pts in final minute and 4th and 4 near midfield, why NOT throw a 2-yard pass that ends the game with you losing?

Since when did the NFL turn into the all pussy league? Games delayed because of rain??? Jesus, they played in thick fog about 10 years ago in Chicago where the players couldn't see 5 yards down the field...

And I don't recall anyone getting hit by lightning in an NFL game, although Matt Hasselbeck has been struck by lightning twice in his life...supposedly.

Week 2...being delayed so much it might carry into week 3.
Considering his only baseball post in the past year was bringing up a 3 year old thread to taunt Hornsby and he's never contributed a dime to our hatpass, perhaps?

I think that Henne is better than Ponder by a decent margin...for whatever reason, the jags insist on starting Gabbert, who IS worse than Ponder.

Then again, we have a 2-time Super Bowl MVP who is throwing picks by the bushel.....

Maybe from now on i should bench my players when they play against Seattle.

I have both Gore and the Seattle defense going for me tonight. I wasn't sure who to root for, but i am pleased with half of the results so far.

If Seattle is at home, I'm benching anyone playing against them. 120+dB sound plus that very good defense is going to lead to very small scores by other teams.
