This is Off The Wall's baby, so I'm gonna start the thread and hope he can start this year off. I always look forward to this thread.

    No off_the_wall?

Ok, I'll give it a shot...

IMO, Philly will run roughshod over the first half of the season...until D coordinators catch up to it. In the meantime, look out! Shady McCoy is going to put up monster numbers.

It was a really, really sloppy week 1 (even as far as week 1's go). Turnovers and mistakes galore.

I was on the Jared Cook bandwagon early and often in drafts. Looks like I might have hit one on the head.

Wish I would've picked up Eli in more leagues. The Giants D is bad and they're going to throw...A LOT! If you were of the "wait on taking a QB" wagon, it will pay off in spades.

If you drafted Danny Amendola, you got exactly what you should have expected. Great numbers when he plays, but riding the weekly injury rollercoaster will make you age prematurely (apparently not at practice again today)

Wish I would've bought in on the "Reggie Bush is a perfect fit for Detroit" thought. He's going to put up top 5 RB numbers this year (of course, if he stays on the field)

Looks like I overbought on Lamar Miller mainly because the Miami o-line is turrible. Losing that goalline TD to Daniel Thomas was the stake in the heart of a truly awful day.

Don't panic CJ Spiller, Trent Richardson, and Marshawn Lynch owners. You'll get what you paid for. I'll also throw Stevan Ridley and David Wilson in there only because they'll keep getting their shot due to the injuries to their handcuffs. However, MJD owners, you might want to start seeking options. That is truly a bad team in Jax.

Speaking of the Jags, why don't they just sign Tebow? He couldn't be worse than Gabbert and he'll actually draw fans to that stadium. Henne is better than Gabbert, but he's definitely not the answer. In the meantime, sign Tebow, fill the stadium and draft a long-term solution.

This week's disgruntled jerk award goes to Mike Wallace for bitching about his role even though his team won.

Don't worry browns fans, when Josh Gordon comes back after next week, the dynamic on offense will change.

Colin Kapernick looks like he might be the best QB in the league. He's insanely talented.

The Steelers are in a world of hurt. The Pouncey injury is the death knell to an already questionable team.

As a Charger fan, I'm not disappointed in the result of last night's game. Hell, I thought it was going to be the blowout of the week and Philip Rivers was going to be taken to the morgue after JJ Watt put him in the ground. But I'm actually excited about our front 7 and think the o-line held up better than expected. This will be a couple of year rebuilding process in SD. AJerk left the cupboard bare with bad drafts and contracts (Meachem and Gaither particularly) and they are a very young team. I love McCoy's attitude and Norv's country club atmosphere is a memory now. The D got gassed in the 4th quarter last night and were on the field way too much. I shudder to think at what Philly will do to them next week.

The NFC West is going to be an exciting one to watch. All teams, even AZ are going to be competitive.

As bad as the Raiders will be, Terrell Pryor was impressive and will keep them in games against other marginal teams (the jets, Chargers, etc.). They might not be historically bad as I thought.

The Chiefs D threw a shutout, on the road, but the first score of the game was a safety on a blocked Chiefs punt. Punter Dustin Colquit now has an official punt return.

Most of the game, with double digit leads, the Chiefs played a double nickel defense, featuring 4 safeties. Justin Houston had #2 overall pick for lunch, 3 sacks and 2 pressures.

The Cowboys have a couple of really good young LB, Lee and Carter. If they can stay healthy, this will be a vastly improved defense. The Giants may lead the NFC East in passing yardage this year.

I thought the Chargers brought their A game in the first half.

Was it just three years ago that the NFC West was by far the worst division in the NFL?

The Jaguars play the Raiders this week. It looks like the best chance of a first half win for both teams.

Good job picking up the slack!

Would you believe the Jags actually drew around 65k/game last season (96% of capacity) -- which is more than the Chargers and 11 other teams, including Pittsburgh & Chicago?

They have a relatively new GM who I'm sure doesn't want to stake his job and/or reputation on a guy who couldn't stick as a QB3, and who still can't throw the ball. For a guy who many of his backers claim "never got a chance," man, this guy has been given more chances than your average crappy NFL QB.

Hell, the Jets may stand a fighting chance with Geno at QB and salvage what was a relatively poor rookie debut for GM John Idzik.

Who saw their stock fall the furthest this past week -- David Wilson, Lamar Miller, Mike Wallace or Mark Ingram? Speaking of Ingram, can someone tell me why the Saints don't trade this guy already? Do they even use him for anything?

So the Raiders offer a rich free agent package to a QB with a noodle arm and draft another QB in the 4th round who gets waived, but yet they have an electric talent right on their bench? Typical Raiders!

Flynn must have the best agent in the biz.

Russell Wilson was under pressure most all game against the Panthers. Carolina's D looked really good - Rivera's influence must be settling in. Still, Wilson posted his first career 300 yard game. Between Wilson, Newton, Kapernik, RGIII, and Luck (and the possibly new guys Manuel, Pryor and Geno) the league is heading in to a new golden age of QBs.

BTW, man, I can't wait for the Seattle-SF game Sunday night!

Born in the northwest so I love what the 'hawks are doing but I would trade Wilson for Kaepernick any day of the week.

Love Wilson, but Kaepernick is a special talent.

I expect these two to get closer as time goes by, but right now, I take Kaepernick in a heartbeat. But Wilson is also a stud!

I am a Wilson all the way guy. It really irritates me that Seattle got him the pick after the Chiefs in round 3.

Doubtful he was on their board until round 6 anyway.

Now there is a damning comment.
