I just don't get the love for Gio...no way that I'd play him in the opening game without seeing what happens with a coach like Lewis.

Adrian Peterson heard all of you who said he can't do it again. I think he chuckled about 40 yards into his 76 yards scamper to the endzone.

Bruno Mars is a singer? Wow...I'm old...I didn't even know that.

How about them Steelers...scoring 3 seconds into the game against the Titans.

How? You say...because you didn't see it? A safety on the kickoff.

That was one of the most boneheaded plays. TEN KO returner steps on goal line, reaches over goal line to field ball, then moves back into endzone and takes a knee. Safety.

PIT returns favor when Isaac Redman fumbles inside the 10 and TEN recovers in end zone for a touchback.

                  dumb NFL rule No. XLVIII

Bucs QB Freeman has bad snap at own 7, ball nearly heading out of end zone. Jets defender lunging for it, and Freeman kicks it out of end zone (likely going out anyway, but he made sure) for the safety.

A logical league would choose between:

                  A) that's fine, if the offense wants to surrender the 2 pts and the ball, go ahead.
                  B) No, we don't accept that strategy, so we will further penalize the offense by backing them up 15 yards on the next kickoff.

But according to Ed Hochule, who threw the flag, the penalty is not enforced when the result is a safety.

                  lol

after starting the game with a 78-yard TD rush, AP is going into the half with two touchdowns on 8 rushes for 70 total yards.
In the best of times, our days are numbered, anyway. And it would be a crime against Nature for any generation to take the world crisis so solemnly that it put off enjoying those things for which we were presumably designed in the first place, and which the gravest statesmen and the hoarsest politicians hope to make available to all men in the end: I mean the opportunity to do good work, to fall in love, to enjoy friends, to sit under trees, to read, to hit a ball and bounce the baby.

Terrelle Pryor with the all-time Raider QB one game rushing record. So far with 106 yds rushing.

He sure has surprised me today.

On another QB note, EJ Manuel has also looked pretty good today. He looks very composed in the pocket. Clearly Marrone has simplified for him a little bit but he's done a nice job and has made very few mistakes.
