  • 2nd pick???

12 team ppr league. I have the 2nd pick. Is D. Martin the obvious choice? I feel iffy about him. I would with anybody I pick here. I feel any of the picks 2-6 can be #2 worthy. Foster scares me..What do you think? Thanks in advance...

Honestly, I don't think D, Martin is the obvious pick.

I agree with you about the idea that you could draft about 6 RB's at #2 and justify it.

Honestly, in a PPR league right now, I'd probably draft either McCoy or Rice.

They are solid, proven and (most importantly) consistent RB's in a PPR format.

If I had to chose between those two, I'd take McCoy.

I'd take Martin...I don't know if he's the absolute lock there, but I think that he'll give you the best production. He had 49 receptions last year, and I can only see that number going up. Much as I love Shady, he's got the potential to share some carries with Brown.

IMO #2 is one of the worst places to be this year in a redraft, as I think there are 9 RB plus Calvin that make an excellent anchor to start your draft.

In my redraft that drafted today, Martin went #2. I'd be looking at him, McCoy or Charles. As for Foster, injury + recent workload make him a mid-first rounder for me at best.

Gris, as far as Brown vs. McCoy:

        1. The Eagles are going to run a ton of plays, and a ton of those will be running plays. Shady will still get a huge volume of touches regardless of how Brown is used.
        2. Brown still hasn't learned how to hold on to the football properly. If he continues to have fumbling issues, his PT will be curtailed.

          I'd go with Martin there.

I'd put all the names into a hat, and pull one. Good luck!
Considering his only baseball post in the past year was bringing up a 3 year old thread to taunt Hornsby and he's never contributed a dime to our hatpass, perhaps?

Ask me a week ago and I'd say Martin hands down. After looking closely at what Philly is doing, I think Shady is going to have a huge year.
