  • Thoughts on keeper leagues.

Leaving off dynasty, there seem to be two basic approaches: owned and rented. Owned players are retained until dropped or traded. Rented players have escalating cost, time limits or both. What are your thought as to the merits of each?

Which position makes the most reliable keepers? Bob can give chapter and verse on consistency in a season. What is the most consistent year after year?

Every year there is a late round flier that produces first round numbers. Last year it was Cam Newton. In 2010, Arian Foster. In a 10 team league, chances are that neither was drafted. Who is worth wathing in 2012?

If you must throw your first to picks back every year, how does that effect your evaluation of the top players?

If there is a time limit, say three years, do you figure age in at all?

What is the most unusual tactic you have seen work in football keepers?

Who wants to try one this year? If so, what rules?
