I usually dislike when someone just asks questions rather than give alternatives, but since I don't know college football all that well, I'll ask questions!

    - Why would WAS take Richardson when they discovered Helu is more than capable?
    - Schiano is a ground & pound type, so I can see the Bucs taking Richardson. Probably not on Blackmon, no matter how talented.
    - even if the Cards jettison Kolb, no way they reach on Tannehill in the 1st round. Too many decent QBs will be available in free agency, better to just take another chance there.
    - not a chance in hell of the Jets using another 1st round pick on a QB. None.
    - the Giants need help in the defensive backfield, so I would look there first. But OLB may be of some use to them.

LB Lavonte David was the best player on Nebraska's defense last year.

Night and day difference. Helu is also small, and needs someone else to carry a substantial portion of the load. SE, eg, Jamaal Charles.

Valid point. I will consider it. If so, the Redskins grab Blackmon.

It is not a reach. Last year Ponder went #12 and Tannehill is a much better prospect than Ponder.

        - not a chance in hell of the Jets using another 1st round pick on a QB. None.
I was wondering how long it would take before I got an irrate response to that. The problem is that none of the last 10-12 teams would take Weeden, so a trade must be involved.

This is a good draft for the secondary, and all the top names are gone. Think 2nd and/or 3rd round.
For the Jets substitute Wilson. They have a tank and need a speed RB.

Only because Crick was injured. L David is also not nearly the pro prospect he is as a college player. He will get drafted, but 3rd to 4th round IMO.

Crick is good but he played a lot better when he had Suh alongside him. You might be right in terms of perception of David as a prospect, but the dude was a beast, sacking QBs on one play and breaking up passes 25 yards down field the next. Great instincts.

Assume your top 5 are right I think the Skins go Floyd or the OT from Iowa here. Shanahan hasn't taken a RB early in years at Denver even when they needed one because he got his 1,000 yd flavor of the year and figured he was fine. He will go with Helu/Royster and pick some other position. Still hoping for a trade up for RG III or down if they target the Iowa OT.

Maybe I missed him in your list, but if the Packers go OLB (which is highly likely), they'll take Whitney Mercilus well before Perry. If Mercilus is gone, I'd not be surprised to see them trade down and go for Vinny Curry later in rounds 2/3.

I think I am going to flip the Bucs and Skins: TR to TB; Blackmon to DC.

Maybe its me, but I like Perry. Mercilus and Especially Curry would be high in round 2. I recently realized I gave Cincinatti a 3-4 OLB, so some shakeup is in order.

Not happening. Since implementing Howard Mudd's system they draft smaller linemen now. O-Line isn't really a need, either (though Reid and co. often don't draft for need.)

I don't think Curry is bad, but Mercilus did anywhere from abused to did very well against three NFL caliber OTs this year. IMO, they'll take OLB well ahead of RB in the first. But if only two OLBs are gone as you've indicated, TT will trade down in a heartbeat. The Pack needs a couple of DBs, too, and as you've noted, there's a lot of 2/3/4 round quality guys there.

Yeah, I have to admit I was surprised by this. Sounds like Charles is coming along fine, not sure why they would want Richardson -- especially with a new defensive-minded HC.

I'd love to see the Giants get Fleener. With both Beckum & Ballard likely to be placed on the PUP list, suddenly TE went from a strength to nada.
