    I think the Raiders have no picks in the first four rounds. (Unless they get any FA comp picks.) Not even the Redskins managed that in Snyder's most short-sighted years.

      The Redskins didn't have a pick in the first SEVEN rounds in 1972 (and 1965, apparently, though that's before my time. They picked Hall of Famer Chris Hanburger in the 18th round in the latter year).

      Also none in the top 4 in 1973, not til 6th rd in 1974, earliest pick was a 5th-rder in 1975-76, 6th in 1978... no 1st-rders from 1969-79. Then in the next four years, they added HOFers Art Monk, Darrell Green, and OL Mark May in the first round. Then no first-rounder, 1984-90, either.

      Interesting that they won the Super Bowl in 1982, 1987 and 1991 seasons, and got there in 1983 as well. Once they added a couple of young studs, I guess they didn't need the draft so much.

      But true about Snyder era.

        Minnesota

        Most early mocks have them taking either;

        Matt Kalil, OT, Southern California
        Morris Claiborne, CB, LSU

          I would not be surprised if STL or MIN trades down. Both have a lot of holes to fill and aren't going to take a QB.

            I agree with Kalil, presuming he grades out. Claiborne is looking like the top CB, but thus us not Patrick Peterson II. Blackmon and Quinton Couples figure as well.

            I think both teams would love to trade down, but will have no suitors. The first player that might generate that kind of interest is RG III. A team in the top 10 might trade up to get in front of Cleveland at #4. Only the Redskins come to mind.

                I could see the Redskins trading up if Shanny loves RG3. Shanny knows he HAS to get a QB soon if his tenure is going to be a success. Can't keep relying on Rex Grossman.

                They could also go after Flynn in free agency, though Snyder's history with FA is not good so who knows if they're gun-shy.

                  another QB staying in school -- Landry Jones says he's going back to Oklahoma for a 5th year.

                    I hereby predict three QB taken in the first 16 picks:Luck, RG III, Tannehill. That might be it for round 1.

                    Edit, a little shaky with Tannehill injured and unable to play in the Senior Bowl

                      This is Senior Bowl week, so the 2012 Draft season is officially begun. This thread deserves a bump.

                      I will have a mock draft later this week.
