GB sure doesn't seem to be able to handle Tolbert. VJax is having a monster day, too.

But I don't know how anyone will stop the GB offense.

Philip Rivers has become the NFL's greatest philanthropist, trying to give the ball away at every turn.

Tebow looks better than Palmer so far.
After former Broncos quarterback Brian Griese sprained his ankle and said he was tripped on the stairs of his home by his golden retriever, Bella: “The dog stood up on his hind legs and gave him a push? You might want to get rid of that dog, or put him in the circus, one of the two.”

Aaron Rodgers takes apart defenses the same way a geneticist takes apart DNA.

The Broncos under Tebow move within a game of the AFC West lead.

                      Yes, really.

And if the 49ers lose their last 8 games, there's a good chance they will win their division anyway.

Watched some of the 49ers today, to escape the 1st-half horror that was the Jets-Bills (so from frying pan to fire, yes).

Was not won over by Niners, to be honest. The Redskins are a mediocre HS offense at this point, so your offense gets plenty of chances. But only one TD all day - and that on a 1-play, 30-yard "house money" drive after a Redskins guy carrying a loaf of bread/football fumbled in his own territory with a minute left in the 1st half.

I noted the other day that the Redskins actually have a very good defense, but ..... well, next week it's Giants at Niners. I WAS impressed by the Giants today, obviously.

WEEK 10 KEY GAMES, division games in CAPS

                            THURSDAY
RAIDERS 4-4 at CHARGERS 4-4 - hey, someone has to win this division!

                            SUNDAY EARLY
                            STEELERS 6-2* at BENGALS 6-2
                            SAINTS 6-3 at FALCONS 5-3
                            Texans 6-3 at Buccaneers 4-4
                            Bills 5-3 at Cowboys 4-4
                            BRONCOS 3-5 at CHIEFS 4-4 - sigh

                            SUNDAY LATER
                            LIONS 6-2 at BEARS 4-3*
                            Giants 6-2 at 49ers 7-1

I agree. I thought our win was as "ho hum" as an NFL win could be. I saw some nice things from Alex Smith though. That slant is becoming his favorite route. Can't wait for the Giants, Ravens, and the Steelers. Those will be true tests of who this team is.

Not a Giants fan, either, but I agree with your assessment. The 49ers did manage the game pretty well, at least, however uneventful it was. One dreadful mistake on the road in a low-scoring game, and you could see things go awry.
