-i heard the coach for the Bills used to work for the coach of the Chiefs and had a falling out. this is what happens, the former assistant coach comes back and wins; belichick beating parcells. mangini beating belichick etc.. my guess is it means the players will play hard for that coach.
-im guess Cam Newton will have a future in the NFL and not be considered a 'bust' like most QB's taken in the first rd these days it seems. ..i think there must be some rule change to explain why a lot of QB's had a big 1st week. nevertheless, Steve Smith went from a WR3 to a potential WR1 or top ten. 31 years old, sure i guess.he did have some recent mediocre years recently so he has attitude incentive and luck going for him.
-it's just a casual observation but is chad ochocinco the toughest WR in the game? ppl can say what they want about him here in NE, but i always say, 'yeah, but he can take a hit from ray lewis and ray lewis bounces off him'. has anyone ever knocked chad ochocinco to the ground!? ..i think it might be time to start an urban legend.
-during the steelers and ravens, when they showed the PIT head coach on the sideline, i thought we were thinking the same thing. my fantasy team is heavily invested in PIT, and when big ben threw another INT that he was falling back, threw off his back foot across the field, over the middle. i wanted PIT to lose more so they would pick this game to inspire them to perfection for the rest of the season.
- it's not that the colts are bad but all the factors. teams will be pumped to beat them without him. also, a great QB can hide a lot of things. here in NE we even release a probowler CB or SS cause management doesn't like him because we have brady. ..but now you see why the colts sat their starters (every year) or in BUF that year instead of going for a perfect season. apparently manning really does mean that much to them. also, in that BUF game there was another statistic i believe: IND has never lost a game manning started where they were favored. ...or perhaps im forgetting what that record they lost was and just started another urban legend.
-as a Percy Harvin owner im scared he only had 15 yards recieving in week one. then someone said mcnabb only had 39 passing yards. so i had to look it up and saw that as a team MIN only had 28 net passing yards as a team. so my WR had 25% of the teams total net passing yards. but he did score on a kickoff. which is making a comeback i heard.
-Kenny Britt. titansonline.com titans vs. jaguars highlights. the main titans highlights are 4 Britt plays in a row. you even wonder on the last play with .28 secs left they had so much confidence in Britt and threw it up that he didn't even have a chance to prevent the INT. also, backround football music sounds like porno music. i guess football and porno have some similar sayings. double team, sacking, pulling. i wonder what i't be like if george carlin compared football and porno instead of football and baseball. perhaps one of the unanswered questions of the universe.
-legarrette blount and TB seem to have a hard schedule. ATL, IND (that changed in blounts favor), NO (twice), GB, DAL. but hey, at least you know when to bench him now right? or now when to play earnest graham in your 20 team league if you're really looking for a silver lining. of course the same thing happened to mendenhall when PIT fell behind. not that PIT will be behind many games. but also on the plus side, freeman doesn't throw INT's. so blount should do well against the teams he's supposed to.
-the seahawks really are going for the first pick in next years draft. this is important to know if your playing survivor football. their schedule doesn't look THAT bad so we will knoiw for sure when they come off their bye week 6 vs @CLE. they didn't go after david garrad, and sidney rice is really a trick. he's good enough to sell tickets but injured enough not to play. thats another urban legend.
-rex ryan is the son of buddy ryan? ..now it all makes sense. you know, i would've punched kevin gilbride too. buddy's defenses only asked that the offense not turn the ball over. he didn't care if you didn't score any points, because then he'd just tie you 0-0. ..another urban legend. or is it?
-rex grossman and mike shanahan might be interesting to watch. a QB that just wants to throw it anywhere on every down, and a coach who's team is based on zone blocking and running the ball. also, i look at fred davis and think about all the times i picked him up in the past only to have to drop him due to playing time. i would've drafted him at the end of the draft and not grabbed finley in the 5th rd if i had known this might be his breakout year. he looks like a big WR.
-not only did ted ginn become the first player to have a kickoff and punt return for a TD in the same game. he did it in 2 consecutive kicks. (thats for you urban legend scorers). but SEA did give them up in 2 special teams series in a row, at the end of the game. thats not saying that ted ginn didn't look good. but it takes two to tango. ..now if i can only get the seahawks special teams to coach punch pete carrol. actually after seeing pete carrol without a jacket in freezing CHI playoff last year, he might actually last a few rds with buddy ryan.
-mark sanchez had that hot dog eating incident. hot dogs = commercials. the thing about that is even though nobody knows what they put in them, hot dogs will be around well into the future. also, why do they sometimes call hot dogs franks? so frank invented the hot dog and john invented the toilet. and they had a system. ..you learn alot of history watching football.
-tony romo plays in a system that limits his vision down the field. it's all timing with less 'hot plays' or throwing to 2nd or 3rd recievers. ok, i'll stop making up football urban legends.

Amazing that Fitzpatrick has been so effective with that group of receivers the Bills have given him to work with. Were any of those wideouts drafted before the 4th round? After former Broncos quarterback Brian Griese sprained his ankle and said he was tripped on the stairs of his home by his golden retriever, Bella: “The dog stood up on his hind legs and gave him a push? You might want to get rid of that dog, or put him in the circus, one of the two.”

Your comment about Buddy implies that he gave any thought to offense at all. He didn't, not even when he was HC in Philly and Arizona.Originally posted by Kevin SeitzerWe pinch ran for Altuve specifically to screw over Mith's fantasy team.

Nullnors write up is awesome..
-Hillis is making me a bit weary of his status
-Bradford, Freeman.. both seem like legit #1 qb's at a #2 qb value
-James Starks.. get on board.. if you got him (like i did) at the end of the draft.. cash in
-OchoCinco... meet the TE's of NE
-Texans D/ST... fo real

I honestly expected a better game, though the Jamaal Charles injury was a real punch in the throat. The Lions could not do anything with him--then he was gone. With San Diego this week, and a death march of a December, this is going to be a long season.

1. Has he lost the players?
2. Does Pioli feel any loyalty to him?
As a Chiefs fan, you're in a better position to speculate about what the answers to those are.Originally posted by Kevin SeitzerWe pinch ran for Altuve specifically to screw over Mith's fantasy team.

At least you guys are the clubhouse leaders in the Suck for Luck contest. After former Broncos quarterback Brian Griese sprained his ankle and said he was tripped on the stairs of his home by his golden retriever, Bella: “The dog stood up on his hind legs and gave him a push?
