(that would be the Century Division, featuring "archrivals" Browns, Saints, Cardinals, Steelers. wtf. Browns rallied to 10-4 and Cardinals to 9-4-1, with Saints going 4-9-1 and Steelers 2-11-1. a year later, the Giants got bounced into the Century, while the Saints moved to the Capital - which was the forerunner to the NFC East with Dallas, Washington, and Philadelphia. in 1970, the modern divisions were born after the merger with the AFL.)
