  • ROS - Tyler Boyd, Marquis Wilson or Malcolm Mitchell

0.5PPR league, who you like the best? I'm locked into a top 2 seed for our playoffs so I won't be playing in Week 14. Also, Brady is my QB.

Boyd (vs PHI, vs PIT, vs HOU)
    M. Wilson (vs SF, at NYG, at DAL)
    M. Mitchell (vs LA, at DEN, vs NYJ)

    Thanks in advance.
    14 Team 1/2PPR league (1 Keeper)

QB: Rivers (3), Stafford (5), Keenum (NA)
    RB: Kamara (11), McKinnon (7), Bernard (7)
WR: M. Thomas (NA), Crabtree (1), Shepard (8), Wallace (NA), Cobb (NA)
    TE: Olsen (NA)
    K: Lutz (7)
    DEF: JAX (7)

    (We start 1 QB, 1 RB, 2 WRs, 1 RB/WR/TE, 1 TE, 1 K and 1 DEF)

I like Boyd in that group. Wilson next. Mitchell against those defenses...no thanks.
I'm just here for the baseball.

I actually think Mitchell could have the highest big play upside, especially with Gronk out. But I think Boyd is the most reliable, especially in .5PPR and has a little bit of upside (someone needs to catch a TD other than Eifert every once in a while!).

So I'd go Boyd, Mitchell (only Denver's D scares me in their opponents), Wilson

The concern about Mitchell is overblown. The Jets have been terrible against the pass all year and the Rams were awful vs. Brees and probably will be vs. Brady. Denver is a tough matchup, but Alex Smith got some things done against them so there's no reason Brady couldn't. He has the biggest boom potential of the three. He could fizzle, but so could the other two because the Bengals and Bears are hot messes.

Agreed. Mitchell just took the Jets for 5/42/2 and you don't like that matchup? Chances are you don't play whoever this is anyway so I'd want the biggest potential upside and that's Mitchell.

I politely beg to differ. Denver has the top rated pass defense, LA has the seventh in the NFL. The Jets are 22, but Mitchell averaged 8.4 yards per catch on on,y five catches. Two TDs on those numbers are luck, not ability.

Philly is gutted with injuries, Pittsburgh is awful against the pass, and Houston is good. Plus, Boyd's situation is pretty favorable. Id go with him all day.

Pittsburgh ranks sixth against opposing WR and Houston third. Mitchell only played on about half of the offense's snaps against the jets and is poised to see much more time since the Pats don't have the personnel to continue playing 2 TE sets. Boyd is gonna get you 8-10 points per game because of usage. If you're in the playoffs that isn't gonna register for you because you're sure to have enough WR putting that up. There's only one potential game breaker here and that's Mitchell.

                    Boyd 4-66 on 6 targets
Mitchell 8-82 on 10 targets (and played on 85% of snaps)
Wilson got dinged and recorded no stats on one target

Thanks Alex, I dumped Boyd on Sunday morning to pick up Mitchell. Still holding out hope that A.J. Green will be back in Week 15 or 16.
