  • Switching to PPR

One of my long-standing leagues is switching to PPR this year which will actually be the first time I've ever done PPR. Anything I should keep in mind for draft day? Any guys I should keep my eye on or value higher/lower than I would've before? QB TD's are 6 points in this league as well so I imagine RB's will be pretty devalued in the first 2 or 3 rounds before seeing a big run on them.

As you might expect, WRs see a great boost in value, as do the best TEs. Gronk is easily a first rounder in PPR and he might not be in non-PPR. If you have a top 3 pick, you need to take A. Brown, Julio or OBJ. They present a huge advantage in this format.

At the same time, the RB picture becomes muddied to the extent that if you don't have a high first-round pick, it may behoove you to take one of the rare 3-down backs first and then load up on WRs.

Perhaps the biggest game-changer is that third-down specialist RBs see a great spike in value because of receptions. Examples include Danny Woodhead, Theo Riddick and Bilal Powell. The format makes more RBs viable for one's starting lineup, making it popular to load up on WRs early and dig for pass-catching RBs in the middle rounds.

If you can only start one QB, there's no reason to prioritize them more because of 6-point pass TDs. With today's free-for-all passing rules, the position is very deep and it's best to wait on them. 2-QB or SuperFlex leagues are a different story.

      Erik - appreciate the help!

Ended up with Brees (in the 8th!), AJ Green, Brandin Cooks, Donte Moncrief, John Brown, Sterling Shephard, L'Veon Bell, Jeremy Langford, Danny Woodhead, TJ Yeldon, Coby Fleener, Zach Ertz and Andy Dalton. I need to upgrade my RB depth but am hoping that the PPR will make those guys a little better.

I like it. Woodhead is always worth starting in this format; he's my RB2 in one PPR league. Fleener is getting all the hype but I think Ertz will be better, and could be a target monster -- the receiver situation in Philly aside from him and J. Matthews is pretty dire.
