someone noted that after the Browns and Lions losses already this week, the Bills might as well forfeit on Sunday...

apparently the Packers guy who caught the longest Hail Mary in NFL history is the son of the guy who made the final lateral before the Stanford-Cal band-on-the-field final play TD. that's amazing

meanwhile, take the star-crossed Jets, befuddled Giants, and clueless NFL refs, and you get this:

Jets down to the 25 yards line on nice gain
Jet goes OB, Giant defender kind of still in contact, but clearly no penalty. just the vaguely annoying thing defenders sometimes do, no big deal. Jets OL Willie Colon - out for the season so not even dressed in uni - starts barking at the defender and gets 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct so Jets back to 40.

another nice gain for Jets, ball marked at the 20
Coughlin for Giants throws the challenge flag, and sure enough it should be first and 10 at the 22 where he stepped OB (before his second foot out at the 21)

refs say original, incorrect spot stands, so Coughlin loses a timeout AND a challenge

maybe some guy in NY was saying, "Ok, this is such a pointless challenge, let's stick it to him" lol

The Eagles' victory over the Pats was their first in Foxboro since 1987, and marked the first time the Pats lost at home after leading by at least 8 since 2001.

It's also gotta be some sort of record for beating a team of that quality after two straight blowout losses to mediocre teams.

The NFL makes no sense. Nor do the Eagles. Them winning out would not surprise me, nor would them losing out or any outcome in between.

I need DeSean to score more than 5.7 but less than 32.1 in PPR, and I will have two teams clinch first-round byes. If he achieves one or the other, then one team will get a first-round bye and the other will not.

A third team could have taken a first-round bye with a win and a high score, as there were 5 teams with 8-4 records, all of whom were very close in total points, and 2 teams with 7-5 records, one of whom was also close in total points and one of whom was about 70 back from the pack. Instead, it put up one of its worst games of the year (thanks, Jarvis Landry) and scored very little. Luckily, one of the 7-5 teams lost, so I will still make the playoffs, but will likely have to settle for the 6 seed. Top 3 in total points and all-play record also get money, and this week was very damaging to those efforts.

I lost 130.7 to 130.6 for the division title. I had to watch the Saints/Panthers game with the score that way for the last 5 minutes of playing time. Saw the Panthers drive all the way down the field with my guy Stewart sitting on the pine, and then had to watch Ingram not get a touch with a minute left...sigh.

Rooting for that scoring correction to get me one more yard or a catch...

Can any defense contain the Steelers passing offense? If they just get a decent performance from the defense, then they can be legit SB contenders. Big "if" though.
