  • Week 1 - Flex WDIS (R. Mathews, J. Randle, Yeldon or Colston

14 Team 0.5PPR league. Who would you roll with at Flex?

Ryan Mathews at ATL (Monday Night): Great matchup. How do the Eagles split carries/touches with Murray, Mathews & Sproles?
Joseph Randle vs NYG (Sunday Night): Solid matchup. How do the Cowboys split carries/touches with Randle, McFadden & Dunbar?
T.J. Yeldon vs CAR: Solid matchup. Yeldon has been banged up during the pre-season. Will he dominate touches or will D. Robinson steal some work & if so, how much?
Marques Colston at ARI: Average matchup. Brees has to throw to someone now that J. Graham is gone. Will the redzone targets go to Colston, Cooks, Coleman or somebody else.

Starting Mathews or Randle has the added bonus of me being able to watch the game on TV.

    Thanks in advance.
    14 Team 1/2PPR league (1 Keeper)

QB: Rivers (3), Stafford (5), Keenum (NA)
    RB: Kamara (11), McKinnon (7), Bernard (7)
WR: M. Thomas (NA), Crabtree (1), Shepard (8), Wallace (NA), Cobb (NA)
    TE: Olsen (NA)
    K: Lutz (7)
    DEF: JAX (7)

    (We start 1 QB, 1 RB, 2 WRs, 1 RB/WR/TE, 1 TE, 1 K and 1 DEF)

Oof, tough call. I just don't trust what's going on in the DAL backfield. They seem to be looking for any opening to NOT make Randle the guy. Yeldon might get the most touches out of all of them, but do we trust what he can do with them? I think I may lean Colston. He faces a tough D, but he'll get his.

Oof is right. Coin flip between Yeldon and Colston.

Randle appears to be top dog in Dallas, so I'd guess he's getting close to half the touches. Matthews is 2nd to Murray AND Sproles will suck up a lot of the passes to running backs. I think Colston is heading downward, so for me Yeldon would be the only reason I wouldn't start Randle. And I'd want to see something out of him before I start him.

        I'm with Diablo.
Considering his only baseball post in the past year was bringing up a 3 year old thread to taunt Hornsby and he's never contributed a dime to our hatpass, perhaps?

Yeldon. I have no idea what to expect from the DAL backfield and I expect both teams to throw more than run in that game anyway. Mathews is clear #2. He will have some big games but no way to predict which ones. I'd see how the RBs are being used before committing to him for a start. Colston is a giant meh for me this year. Yeldon will start and I expect the JAX offense to be much better this year.

OK. Should have mentioned that I'm also starting A. Robinson. Does this change the opinion of the Yeldon supporters? Just not sure that it's a good strategy to start 2 Jaguars.

I want to start Randle since Beason is out for the Giants. Just not sure what percentage of the touches he'll get.
