Relatively new to fantasy football...decided to take up a 10 team yahoo ppr league: QB, 2RB, 3WR, TE, K, DEF and 6 bench

I didn't study up or evaluate...just decided to jump into a league this morning...anyway, here are my picks in order, I had the 10th pick. Yes, I know I picked two for my bench before picking a K, TE or D:

I like everything except taking two QBs in the first 8 rounds -- unnecessary in a league where 10 QBs are needed.

Yeah, tend to agree...got caught up in playing matchups with the QBs that it may have clouded my judgement...that being said, I was never going to pick a Def, K or TE until after mid-draft, so, I figured I'd take best available at the time in Newton and Hyde
