  • HDID- Consistency Special!

I used Griswold's list for this draft, just like OneJay did last week. An auction draft, price paid follows player name.

    10 team, $200 budget

    QB Brees-17
    RB Murray-47 D.Martin-12
    WR Cobb-37, Evans-28, Hilton-29
    TE Daniels-1
    R/W/T K.Allen-7
    K Crosby-1
    D Carolina-1
    IDP Posluszny-1 (yeah...one defensive player...weird)

    Bench
    RB Stewart-6
    RB Bernard-3
    WR Cruz-2
    WR R.White-3
    RB Vereen-2
    WR Funchess-2
    QB Bridgewater-1

Wide receivers were insanely priced, so getting Cobb at 37 was about 10-20 lower than the other top guys. I messed up and didn't get Forte (43) as I thought that indicated a drop in RB prices..I was wrong. I could have taken Newton at $1 instead of Bridgewater, but I think it's Friarfan that loves Bridgewater, so I went with him instead.
Considering his only baseball post in the past year was bringing up a 3 year old thread to taunt Hornsby and he's never contributed a dime to our hatpass, perhaps?

I have never been in a football auction draft so I don't have anything else to compare the value to.

In a regular draft this is the equivalent of getting D. Murray in the 1st (mid/late 2nd ADP), Cobb in the 2nd (mid/late 2nd ADP), Evans in the 3rd (early/mid 3rd ADP), Hilton in the 4th (early/mid 3rd ADP), Brees in the 5th (mid 5th ADP) and D. Martin in the 6th (early/mid 7th ADP). WRs should obviously be the strength of your team. If Murray stays healthy you should be fine at RB with D. Martin, Stewart, Bernard & Vereen all options to start at RB2. Brees should be fine and I like Crosby and the Panthers DEF just fine.

    Good luck to your squad.
    14 Team 1/2PPR league (1 Keeper)

QB: Rivers (3), Stafford (5), Keenum (NA)
    RB: Kamara (11), McKinnon (7), Bernard (7)
WR: M. Thomas (NA), Crabtree (1), Shepard (8), Wallace (NA), Cobb (NA)
    TE: Olsen (NA)
    K: Lutz (7)
    DEF: JAX (7)

    (We start 1 QB, 1 RB, 2 WRs, 1 RB/WR/TE, 1 TE, 1 K and 1 DEF)

This is an excellent squad at excellent pricing.

Your value at WR is outstanding!

Great job! Glad my list helped!

Stewart went for 7 in my 10-team, $200 league. I thought that was really low, but yours is the second auction where he was bought at 6. It's a very good looking team. I'd have taken Newton at a buck over Bridgewater.

        Nice looking team, though.
I'm just here for the baseball.

I should have taken Newton, but I wanted to try out Bridgewater this year. Just for the heck of it.

A strong first game for my Griswold squad. Put up the 2nd highest score in the league! WOOO! And lost. By 20.
