  • How to lose in FF Playoffs 101

The easiest way to lose in fantasy football playoffs? By having the best team in the regular season!

This squad went 12-1, averaged 115 points a game. Had a great draft, good keepers and one trade during the regular season (for manning) and was able to roll out this team:

    Manning
    Demayrius and Jordy Nelson
    L'Veon and McCoy
Rudolph (fill in for Julius Thomas)
    Josh Gordon at the Flex

Bell scored 45 - the rest combined for about 10. At least it was only my big money league with a $100 buy in

    Tough break man.

This sounds similar to my $100 14 team local league. I traded some players last year and stockpiled early draft picks this season. I had a bye this week as the #1 seed (12-1 record & highest scoring team in the league) I'll be rolling out a lineup of:

    Luck
    Murray
    Brown
    D. Thomas
    Nelson
    Graham
    Gostkowski
    TEN DEF

I'm hoping that I don't have the same "luck" as you did this week.
    14 Team 1/2PPR league (1 Keeper)

QB: Rivers (3), Stafford (5), Keenum (NA)
    RB: Kamara (11), McKinnon (7), Bernard (7)
WR: M. Thomas (NA), Crabtree (1), Shepard (8), Wallace (NA), Cobb (NA)
    TE: Olsen (NA)
    K: Lutz (7)
    DEF: JAX (7)

    (We start 1 QB, 1 RB, 2 WRs, 1 RB/WR/TE, 1 TE, 1 K and 1 DEF)

Wow, that blows. I had the same thing happen to me last season in my keeper league.

Thomas will be good for a bounce back after shitting the bed this week so he'll probably put up 30 or 40 points for you! Good luck!

Jordy gave it a good run for the money but still fell short. Ironically, if I didn't make the trade for Manning mid-season, I would've easily won this week but o well!

It just isn't my year. In another league, I'm on a 7 game winning streak, 2nd in the league in scoring and wins and put up 160 points this week! But - because of how the schedule and playoffs worked out, I'll be facing the team with Peyton, Calvin, DeMarco, J. Charles, L'Veon and Gronk in the first round. That team scored 180 this week. Same team that got Jamaal Charles after my league veto'd my trade for him. Time for a new hobby?!

If DMT didn't exist we would have to invent it. There has to be a weirdest thing. Once we have the concept weird, there has to be a weirdest thing. And DMT is simply it.
