  • Week 14 Discussion Thread: Fantasy Playoff Edition

    the fantasy playoffs are here!

The Johnny Manziel era has not begun in the land of Cleve, as Hoyer will remain the starter. Isaiah Crowell may not go, however.

Bleacher Report claims Big Ben has a fractured hand, which is probably not true because it's Bleacher Report. But I wouldn't be surprised if the soreness lingers and continues to affect him.

This is just crazy town. Hoyer has been truly mediocre and less than that of late. If the Browns are crutching on their record it's very misplaced.

Not the playoffs for me yet. I was 1-6 after week 7 and have reeled off 6 in a row to jump 5 teams and put myself in "win and in" territory. Let's just say I hope Good Eli and Good Andy Dalton show up this weekend!

As a Browns fan, I still have faith in Hoyer. Sure, he's not great, but I have little faith in Manziel at this point of his career. They need to stick with Hoyer until they are eliminated from the playoffs or the season ends.
Considering his only baseball post in the past year was bringing up a 3 year old thread to taunt Hornsby and he's never contributed a dime to our hatpass, perhaps?

Don't think so...if he stumbles at all in the first half this week, Manziel is in. Why would Cleveland risk a shot at reaching the playoffs for the first time in 12 years. I don't think they will gamble on Hoyer becoming good and lose a shot at the playoffs where anything can happen. With 6 AFC teams at 7-5, including the Browns, every win or loss will matter in the next 4 weeks (obviously, I know). But, they already lose head-to-head tiebreakers with Baltimore and Pittsburgh in their division and Buffalo for a wild card.

If Hoyer stinks again, he's pulled and it's Johnny Football's team. If Johnny Football starts and stinks and is pulled for Hoyer, that messes with his development.

It all changes if Hoyer is struggling again this week...but he should get the start. If he struggles, then yes Johnny should replace him.

That hit on Brandon marshall... I thought it was strange they were thinking it was a back or rib injury. Looked like he got hit square in the kidney and the way they had him hooked up in the ambulance i think it's gotta be internal.

Ugh, my 1st round competitor had Murray & Bennett (and Marshall as well) to my Witten. I think my game is over before it even really started!

Witten has been a nonfactor the last two weeks. Maybe they are keeping him in to block?

Given the overreliance on Murray, the Bears' inability to find him half the time is baffling. The members of the 1985 Bears D must weep every time they see their successors play.

That said, I'm starting to like the idea of having DeMarco Murray as a 6th round keeper next year. The kid just may turn out to be okay.
2 broken ribs and a lung injury. Way Chicago is playing, I'd guess he's done for the year.

Andre Ellington is OUT this weekend.

Brandon Marshall is also done for the year.
