Backup QB needed with eye to playoffs

My backup QB was Palmer so now I'm in search of a new one.

Two wrinkles:

1) We aren't allowed transactions during the playoffs, so if my starting QB goes down during the playoffs, I have to start my backup.

2) Scoring is a bit odd: 3 pts per pass TD and 3 pts per rush TD. 1 pt for 30 yards passing and 1 pt for 10 yards rushing.

Choices: Carr/McCown/Stanton/Vick?

Who is your starting QB and is his backup worth rostering? If your QB goes down at least you'll know that your QB won't be benched come playoff time.

Good question/idea. Kaepernick is my starting QB. Blaine Gabbert is his backup. I don't think Gabbert is a great option because Kaepernick is talented but roughly average fantasy starting QB in this 14-team league.

Vick is probably the best option, but he may not end the year as the Jets QB.

We know Stanton will start the rest of the year barring injury, so he's probably the best bet then.

In that scoring system, the answer is Vick easily.

Yeah I'd say Vick. If his hold on the Jets job looks iffy right before your transactions get locked, you can always swap him out but he is the highest upside for sure.
