  • Need Advice across the board....

Team is 2-7 and I have 4 weeks to at least get 3 wins to have a shot of getting into the playoffs...so, it's gotta start now.

    my guesses are *

    QB - Romo or Sanchez*
Pick 2 RB - Ellington*, Hill*, Lacy, Forsett
Pick 3 WR - DBryant*, Jeffrey*, Benjamin*, MBryant, OBJ, Wallace
TE - Ertz* or FA pickup Chandler
DEF - DAL* or FA pickup ARI, BAL, PIT

    TIA!!!

I think all the players you guessed are the best options, with maybe ODB over Benjamin.

    How is this team 2-7?

Also, how many teams get into the playoffs if you could possibly get in with a 5-8 record?

I'd be tempted to try and get Lacy into my starting lineup but I can't really say that I'd want to bench Ellington or Hill to do it. The same can be said with the Ravens DEF, not sure if you can sit the Cowboys since they're playing Jacksonville this week.

I don't feel great about D. Bryant if Romo doesn't play. Too bad you didn't have a flex spot where you could start Lacy instead of Dez.

      Good luck!

the league is broken into 3 divisions...the top 8 teams make the playoffs. Currently 7 of the 12 teams in the league have records of 4-5 or worse (2-7 being the worst; 3 teams). So, if I can manage 3 wins, 2 of which would be against teams 2-7 or 4-5, I just might have a shot. And, if I do get into the playoffs, given the talent on my roster, I like my chances against anyone...

As far as how this team can be 2-7...go back and look at the previous weeks...each and every week there are 2-3 players that performed well below par. I only just picked up Hill and MBryant. In 4 consecutive weeks, I lost by 11, won by 8 and then lost by 0.8, 1.1. I then got blown out in week 8 when Vereen, Floyd and Wallace all laid eggs (I have cut ties with Vereen and Floyd)...I had Lacy, Jeffrey and Benjamin on my bench (still would have lost..by 26 instead of 53). Then last week it was Rivers, DBryant and Benjamin giving me a total of 9.6 points.

and....this is why I still hate fantasy football.

Hill was SUPPOSED to go off last night, but because Dalton couldn't hit the broad side of a barn, they were forced to semi abandon the run...I know Hill fumbled and didn't see many snaps immediately after, but he still got more than half of the carries....

Oh, and to make things worse, I dropped CLE defense this week to get Cowboys....16.5 points later.....better pony up Big D

Wow, that's alot of teams that make the playoffs for a 12 team league. In most leagues that I've been in it's usually been 4 or 6 teams. I personally think that 8 playoff teams is too many for a 12 team league. Just my 2 cents.

Dang, I'm in a 20 team league (18 after contraction) and only 6 make the playoffs.
Considering his only baseball post in the past year was bringing up a 3 year old thread to taunt Hornsby and he's never contributed a dime to our hatpass, perhaps?

Yeah, in my 14 team league we have 6 playoff teams too. #1 & #2 seeds get a bye in Week 14 (the first playoff week). In Week 15 the remainjng 4 teams all play. Our league championship is in Week 16.

Our league championship is Week 17. The only good thing about that is if I make to the finals against who I think I'm going to play, he has P.Manning. And we know how often he plays in Week 17!

As of right now, my bench (Lacy, OBJ, Forsett, Wallace, Romo, Martavis Bryant) is outscoring my starters 132.5 - 83.6

In what should have been an easy win for me given that Bryant went for 31, DAL = 13.4, Bailey =9 AND my opponent had 81 points with one player to go, Lynch, uh-oh....45.7 points later....
although, it didn't help that Hill and Jeffrey laid eggs

So, I need Sanchez, Ertz and Benjamin to give me a combined 44 points to pull out a win....

That's definitely possible. Do you think that it's better to be down going into Monday night with 3 player left or being up with your opponent having 3 players left. I think that I like being down with players left. Good luck to ya!!

PPR or non-PPR? Makes a big difference as far as 44 points is concerned. I'm guessing non-PPR if you say Jeffrey "laid an egg." In PPR 6-63 isn't bad.

                              I'd guess maybe a 0.5PPR league since he said that Dez scored 31. In a non-PPR, Bryant's 6/158/2 line would have scored 27.80 (30.8 in a 0.5PPR league).
