  • Release Peterson?

I had kept him. Obviously he is doing me no good, and nobody in my league wants to trade for him as a possible keeper for 2015. Our rules allow us to draft / pick up suspended players.

    We play:

    1 QB
2 RB........ but we draft 6 RB
    3 WR
    1 TE
    1K
    1 D/ST

I have Murray and Bradshaw, but beyond that, nobody is really doing great for me at RB - to the point that bye weeks will suck. I could drop Peterson and pick up someone useful. However, the person I would least want to see get him, and keep him for 2015, has waiver priority. My RB bench sucks, but at least they play, unlike Peterson. I have not really decided who I would pick up if I let him go. I do know that I won't be keeping him for 2015 even if he can play.

    Keep or release?

BTW, the reason I don't want this guy to get him is that almost every season, he and I are battling for 1st place. He is not in the mix this season due to a lot of injuries and McCoy's lack of performance..... but he did draft a great team. But even if I don't keep Peterson, there is a decent chance that guy could get him in the draft next season based on projected draft positions.

Why wouldn't you keep him in 2015 if he's playing for someone?
    14 Team 1/2PPR league (1 Keeper)

QB: Rivers (3), Stafford (5), Keenum (NA)
    RB: Kamara (11), McKinnon (7), Bernard (7)
WR: M. Thomas (NA), Crabtree (1), Shepard (8), Wallace (NA), Cobb (NA)
    TE: Olsen (NA)
    K: Lutz (7)
    DEF: JAX (7)

    (We start 1 QB, 1 RB, 2 WRs, 1 RB/WR/TE, 1 TE, 1 K and 1 DEF)

he'll be worth far more in the offseason, so no, I would not drop him now.

Not necessarily. We can't trade what we won't keep. So with my 4 definite keepers ( barring catastrophe ) I can't trade him in the off season.
