  • Big Trade Offer

I just submitted the following offer in my 14 team 0.5PPR league:

    I give:
    M. Ryan (also have Wilson)
    McCoy
    Garcon
    Spiller

    I get:
    Newton
    Bernard (already had his bye)
    Calvin
    J. Bell

    The other team has:

    QB: Newton, Manziel
RB: Bernard, Sproles, J. Bell, K. Davis
WR: Calvin, T. Williams, Bowe, Cooper
    TE: Gates, Witten
    K: Crosby
    DEF: CIN

Is this a good trade for my team (in signature)? And does it have any chance to get accepted?
    14 Team 1/2PPR league (1 Keeper)

QB: Rivers (3), Stafford (5), Keenum (NA)
    RB: Kamara (11), McKinnon (7), Bernard (7)
WR: M. Thomas (NA), Crabtree (1), Shepard (8), Wallace (NA), Cobb (NA)
    TE: Olsen (NA)
    K: Lutz (7)
    DEF: JAX (7)

    (We start 1 QB, 1 RB, 2 WRs, 1 RB/WR/TE, 1 TE, 1 K and 1 DEF)

It is just one source but
    http://fantasynews.cbssports.com/fan...y-trade-values

    M. Ryan 26 - Newton 9
    McCoy 27 - Bernard 31
    Garcon 16 - Calvin 33
    Spiller 13 - Joique Bell 16

according to that chart it seems like a lot to give up for upgrading to Newton - I don't see why he would do it.

He's currently 1-4 and projected to lose this week which would drop him to 1-5. He's starting Newton, Bernard, T. Williams, Cooper & Sproles this week.

I already checked the trade chart and knew that I was getting the better end according that the chart. I was debating whether I should drop the Spiller/J. Bell part of the trade.

If you look at the season averages it breaks down to Ryan (21.17), McCoy (9.04), Garcon (9.36) & Spiller (8.92) or 48.49 total versus Newton (14.88), Bernard (16.38), Calvin (11.96) & J. Bell (7.75) or 50.97 total. Both Newton & Calvin has under performed on his side and McCoy & Garcon on my side.

he might do it, considering Calvin may be shut down for a week or two.

He rejected the offer although he said that it intrigued him. He said that he didn't know if he wants to give up Bernard.

Should I let him think about it over the weekend?
Or should I just offer Ryan/Garcon for Newton/Calvin or Ryan/Garcon/Spiller for Newton/Calvin/J. Bell?
Or should I offer up the same trade but put Wilson in there instead of Ryan? So Wilson/McCoy/Garcon/Spiller for Newton/Bernard/Calvin/J. Bell.

As far as the Newton/Calvin for Ryan/Garcon offer goes, its basically whether I'd rather have 2 strong QB options to stream each week (Ryan & Wilson) or 2 RB/WR options (McCoy & Calvin when he gets healthy).

I need a bye week sub for Week 7 (McCoy), Week 11 (Murray) & Week 12 (A. Brown). So I had Garcon, Spiller & Hyde to choose from. With the trade, I'd likely be looking at Spiller or Hyde (or a FA) for Week 7 since Calvin likely wouldn't be trustworthy yet. Then I'd probably have Calvin available for sure in Week 11 & 12. But I'd likely be starting Wilson every week (with Newton backing him up).

          What say you fellow Junkies?

Is Spiller & Garcon too much to offer for Calvin? Or not enough? I think Ryan, Garcon & Spiller is too much for Newton & Calvin. Just trying to come up with some other offers that don't include Bernard since he sounds like he doesn't want to trade him.

Is there any QB starter on the WW? Just wondering if you could deal away Ryan in the trade and not get Newton back, helping you get what you really want.
Considering his only baseball post in the past year was bringing up a 3 year old thread to taunt Hornsby and he's never contributed a dime to our hatpass, perhaps?

Yes. Glennon, Tannehill, Orton, Fitzpatrick types though. If I made the deal without getting Newton, I'd probably just roll with Wilson & no backup since he's already had his bye.
