  • who to cut?

I have Jimmy Graham on bye this week. I'm projected to win my matchup by about 10 - my opponent has Brees on bye and Ball out - but I should probably pick up a replacement anyway. We're using the default ESPN non-PPR scoring settings, so two RB, two WR, TE, and a flex. 10-team league

    my team:
    QB: Rivers, Cutler
RB: Gore, Rashad Jennings, Joique Bell, Tate, Sproles
WR: Calvin Johnson, Nelson, Emmanuel Sanders, Crabtree, Hopkins, Gordon
    TE: Graham

Basically everyone is at least decent. I'd kind of like to keep Gordon because my team looks to have a solid shot at the playoffs. Cut Sproles or someone else? I'd be picking up Greg Olsen or Jared Cook most likely.
In the best of times, our days are numbered, anyway. And it would be a crime against Nature for any generation to take the world crisis so solemnly that it put off enjoying those things for which we were presumably designed in the first place, and which the gravest statesmen and the hoarsest politicians hope to make available to all men in the end: I mean the opportunity to do good work, to fall in love, to enjoy friends, to sit under trees, to read, to hit a ball and bounce the baby.

With Jennings & J. Bell being banged up, I'd lean towards dropping Crabtree, who has a foot injury (on the same foot that he's had surgically repaired twice since 2009) and only played 42 of 71 (59.1%) of the snaps last week against the Chiefs. Since it's a non-PPR league, you're more than covered at WR with Nelson, Sanders & Hopkins (plus Calvin when he finally gets healthy).

I'd obviously rather have Olsen over Cook.

What other RB options are out there because I think that Sproles is definitely worth dropping in a non-PPR league. Is there any way that you can grab one of the hot RB options (A. Williams, Oliver, Hillman)? You could also take a flyer on Storm Johnson who looks like he could become the lead back in Jacksonville.

drop Cutler. There's no need to roster 2 QBs in a 10-team league.

Johnson is available, the others aren't. I'll pick him up.

I'd drop Crabtree. While he isn't awful and is undoubtedly better than anyone on the waiver wire in your league, I don't see much upside in Crabtree in a 10-team league, especially given your WR.

I'd also drop Sproles for Storm.

I'd cut Hopkins over Crabtree considering Crabtree's history, higher ceiling and QB. You likely wont need to start either but in a pinch, I'd rather have Crabtree
