Are you sick of random nonsense costing your entire season worth of hard work and your wallet significant amount of money? This league offers you the opportunity to discount some of the luck involved with fantasy football and reduces the challenge to simply scoring points. No need to hope you play this guy after Arian Foster went down and not before his 3TD day. Plain and simple, construct a roster, work the waiver wire, implement trading strategy, and find a way to amass the most points humanly possible and the championship belt becomes your ownership. Head to head can be fun, I agree, put in high-stakes I am more focused on being the best owner I can be rather than a chump because Dez had his one and only 4TD day the week I was playing him. In conclusion, this league operates wholly around total points...the teams with the most total points at the end of the season take the money.
This is a very standard league with small bonuses for exceptional performances (100+ rushing/receiving, 300+ passing, etc.) Roster is typical: QB (1) RB (2) WR (2) TE (1) WR/TE/RB (1) K (1) DEF (1) bench (6) IR (2). Buy-in is $200, all held by League Safe, and is mostly allocated to those that place Top 3 with a small portion going toward weekly high scores. I'm using weekly high scores and total points (as opposed to H2H) to ensure that we all have something to play for from wire to wire as big weeks at the end can greatly change your position. Draft is Sunday 8/17 at 8pm EST which can be done relatively easy via smartphone as Yahoo's app is pretty sweet. This is my 4th year running this league, I run numerous other high stakes baseball and football leagues so all questions, comments, and complaints will be handled promptly and professionally.
