    but the list of places I love would be a lot longer than that. Napa Valley is nice, so are the Sierras up from Sacramento, although I have never been all the way up to Lake Tahoe. I like Monterrey Bay. San Diego is very nice. I wasn't wild about LA itself, but the San Gabriel Mountains are beautiful. I've not been north of LA along the coast. Another couple places on my list to visit at some point are Sequoia/Kings Canyon and Mono Lake. I think the Central Valley has a kind of beauty of its own, but I may be alone in that opinion.
    I had an amazing dinner in Muir Woods at the Pelican Inn. The roads there are pretty crazy. Hoping to visit again.

        probably been close. I pass through Angel's camp on my way to Yosemite. Maybe once things clear up and i can start my grand tour of CA country fairs!

                I stayed at a cabin in Twain Harte, which is pretty close to there.

                            just felt my first California earth quake. Not sure if it was the 4.8 or 5.9. They happened nearly at the same time... maybe both? My guess it it was the 5.9 in Nevada. It's a bit farther from me, but they scale up exponentially I believe, so that's a good bit bigger.
