running a willingness to vaccinate survey... is COVID-19 called COVID-19 internationally? I've tried all the searches I can think of... I found translations for a Minnesota news release on vaccinations that was translated into Thai, Spanish and Hmong, and it was COVID-19 in all of them, but those are the US words being translated. Is there a different acronym in Germany? Are there characters in China, Japan and Korea? I can't figure out how to search for it. When I type COVID-19 into google translate and ask for simplified Chinese, I get COVID-19 (maybe I should have gotten vaccinated before I typed that in eh?)I'm not expecting to grow flowers in the desert...

Extensions to me are about keeping an asset you can’t replace easily. The more you trust in your own ability to go replace that asset, the less you extend.
In some ways it’s less risky to just go for it this year and worry about 2 years from now 2 years from now.
Because I think you will do a better job than your competition at finding NEW keepers I think you shouldn’t over extend.

I extend players like Acuna and Soto and Trout a few years ago. I give 1 year extensions to 2nd or 3rd round talents (doing one this year for Mondesi). But throwing money at mid tier players so I can have them next year hurts me now (less money this year) and later (when a % of them aren’t worth the extended price later)
I’m letting Brandon Lowe walk, for example.

It sounds like you need to shoot the moon and go all in on 1 or 2 years with very few extensions to overcome your deficit.
