  • I enjoyed VD more than fantasy, though.

    My boss at my last pre-baseball employer complained about me spending too much time on VD spreadsheets. That should have been a sign to me about where my heart was, but it took several more years to make the move.

            I played one on one fantasy bb in 1982 or 1983 with a friend down the street when i was in 8th grade. super exciting. My mom bought me the ROtissierie baseball book in 1984 i think. Maybe 1985. anyway, it was somewhat revoulutionary at that point, and I loved it. my senior year of high school we had a mixed league with half simulation/dice and half roto. played one year in college then didn't play at all until 2000. On and off since then.

                  Yeah, that would have been a problem for me in that job. I hated it. I ended up transferring to a different department for a year at the end. Soon after I transferred, my twins are born, which meant I was useless for several months after that. I was just starting to get good at my new role when they laid me off. Sucked but worked out for the best.

                                I was layed off in 1995. Almost layed off a time or two after that. About 15% of my co workers getting laid off next week. Just awful especially with the current situatuon
