    I take it back. I have now thought of several other books that made me do the same.
    More American children die by gunfire in a year than on-duty police officers and active duty military.

        The family's been very private about what type of cancer actually killed him - some type of lymphoma or throat cancer. But if he had lymphoma, to me that would explain a lot, given his penchant for working many hours and sleeping little during times where he was putting out a novel. Physical fatigue from lymphoma (or similar blood-related diseases) will crush ability to focus and concentrate. And his later novels sure seemed to me to be all over the place.

                1st season was great, then it went off the rails. I can't even force myself to watch Season 3.
