Interesting. Do you remember which ones? In almost 25 years of living in the state, I've found that most NJ pizza kinda sucks. I've found that you can walk into virtually any mom & pop pizzeria in any of the 5 boroughs (heavy exception to Manhattan, but I did find some great ones there) and it will be better than the best NJ has to offer.
