It's pretty popular in Europe as well. I used to buy in to it many years ago, but now it pisses me off as well. Not as much as the anti-vaxxers of course.

Growing up in Cali, my very, very favorite pizza place when I was a stupid kid by far was Round Table. The fact that they had a couple of those sit-down Ms. Pacman and Donkey Kong games might have played a small role in that, too.

Yeah, it used to be top 2 in my locale as well. Haven't been in one since college when we went in to play video games, lol

Honestly, I've never bought into the notion that New York pizza or bagels better than elsewhere. People used to say it was some special thing about the water there, iirc, but that's long debunked now. Best pizza I've ever had was made by Moroccans in Vienna, Austria. Second best was in Portland, OR.

We have a chain around here that is sort of like subway, they walk your (uncooked) crust past the ingredients and put on whatever you want, then bake it in a woodfired oven. I actually love it. Had something similar in San Diego a few years ago near Balboa Park. They even had nutella dessert pizza. Do you guys have that ?

There is nothing that kills your love of pizza like having kids. So many parties serving the lamest pizza. My wife is gluten intolerant so that limits my exposure now, actually look forward to it every now and then.
