I'm working on an optimization engine today using T-SQL, wish me luck (already have one for my team, trying to make it more generic and iterative)

Some people make their own picks

I make my own picks too! Just trying to figure out what you guys are going to pick and I have no historical basis so if I ask an engine to optimize your team for the best possible pick then I can know who you will likely pick, and I can adjust accordingly. Gotta give the new guy some leeway.

Plus this is more "art" than science in many regards. There's no solved solution for VD, it all depends on what you expect other people to do. So any optimizer is based on some assumptions that I make and the decisions are all relative to those assumptions.

How would you know if someone was picking from memory or looking at stats?

The participants all get on discord, or just be present and we draft live. We live stream it. Will only likely be us their, so no pressure from viewers etc.
