                                        I was reflecting, with the election of Fred McGriff to the Hall of Fame, that I have been privileged to meet a number of Hall of Famers: McGriff, Nolan Ryan, Craig Biggio, Joe Torre, Bobby Cox, John Schuerholz.

                                        Dave Winfield walked right past me and I failed to recognize him, so stupid me for that one.

                                                        I met Bob Feller at a shoe store in Moline, Illinois when I was 10. Not sure if I have met any others. Lost the baseball glove that he autographed. It was my first glove, and probably the best one I ever had, regardless of the autograph.
