Didn't know this (from Wikipedia) -- how sad:

On June 18, 1961, the unemployed Gaedel, who had just turned 36, was at a bowling alley in Chicago, his birthplace and hometown. Gaedel was followed home and beaten. His mother discovered Eddie lying dead in his bed. He had bruises about his knees and on the left side of his face. A coroner's inquest determined that he also had suffered a heart attack. Bob Cain, who'd pitched to Gaedel, was the only Major League Baseball figure to attend the funeral. Gaedel was interred at Saint Mary Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleum in Cook County, Illinois

Jumping back out on another ledge without any VD history to base it on, but the last time we did a standard draft Greinke didn't have his monster 2015. He has added 3 years of K's and wins. G has other SP options but the combo of career K's with those BY ratios made me jump. I clearly don't know, but what the heck.

Damn, brutal run of picks for me there. Good grab w/ Greinke, definitely had my eye on him. My pitching is probably not salvageable at this point anyways. I can't manage a team with Eck on it.
