On another note, ol Pete was in the stands for the game today, and he was wearing some kind of Elton John jacket, multiple colors and shapes. Kind of disturbing!

He likes that jacket. It is made of patches of leather. I saw him in that jacket at a card show in the early 90's. Can't miss it.

That was something. But maybe it wasn't the second time ever. Someone else today hit a HR in his first AB of the year for the first two years of his career for only the second time in history. Of course, the other guy was Kaz Matsui, so it does cheapen it a bit.
