    Stretch run Castro SS replacement?

    Don't need any ONE category specifically, just need a guy who's going to get mostly regular ABs. Slim pickins, but best options are...

    Asdrubal Cabrera
    Joe Panik
    Jacob Turner
    Brock Holt

    Any other deep guys out there I might be missing?

        At this stage of the season, I tend to go to the hot hand. Both Justin Turner and Panik are looking great right now. My nod would go to Panik as he is not platooning, though Turner has a bit more pop in his bat. Cabrera has hit better since the trade to Washington, but is still having BA issues. Holt's bat has been dead since the All-Star break, so I would not recommend him at all.

        Arismendy Alcantara may play some games at SS soon vs. LHP with Castro out (according to the Chicago Tribune) and is starting to warm back up with the bat. I just don't know if he will gain eligibility quick enough to help you.

          I'd be tempted to go with Panik but dont expect any more HR from him. Cabrera if you need a few HR's.

          Dav: in cbs leagues AA has had SS all year since thats what he played in the minors last year.

            As a side note, it looks like Baez will more than likely get 20 games at SS. So for you ESPNers, such as myself, that means SS eligibility for next year.
