    This is a tough one. I am a Cubs homer, he will qualify at SS, but... This is a 12 team mixed so I not giving up Street for him. I may trade Porcello for him and take the chance. I think that may be the homer in me.

      That's pretty much exactly how I feel.

        I don't know if this helps or confuses things? This is from the Trib through rotoworld:

        Cubs general manager Jed Hoyer said Saturday that Javier Baez "has to earn his playing time."
        "He has to earn his playing time, I don’t think there’s any question," Hoyer said. "He’s got a new manager and some new coaches to impress." Baez slugged nine homers over 229 plate appearances in the majors last season, but he also hit just .169/.227/.324 overall and struck out a whopping 95 times. The upside is undeniable, but the 22-year-old has some adjustments to make and has worked this winter with new hitting coach John Mallee on tweaking his swing. Baez is the odds-on favorite to start at second base on Opening Day, but his name isn't etched into stone. Tommy La Stella represents an alternative at the position.

          At the least you could show this to your trade partner if you are going to offer up Porcello.

            Thanks for the info. I'm not sure I even want that kind of risk considering my keepers are pretty strong.

              Should a $10 Gattis crack my top-10? It's a 1 C league so he loses value, but he also will be playing more games than most Cs, so he gains value. Santana is also C eligible in my league and that's who I'd prefer because of his high OB, but he'll probably go for at least $15.

              As of today, here's my top 10, so he'd be replacing Beltre or Street:

              Goldschmidt 14 (O16)
              Kipnis 8x (I have to keep him)
              A Garcia 1a
              Santana 5a
              Marte 10 (O 16)
              Felix 36a
              Strasburg 13x
              Carrasco 5a
              Street 3b
              Beltre 29B

                Beltre 29B
                Yeah, Gattis is not good in OBP leagues. He's still a top 10 catcher but other than maybe Beltre, I wouldn't rank a $10 Gattis above anyone else on your list.

                  Abreu 28a vs. Strasburg 13x?

                    I would easily take the power and the years. So Abreu by a wide margin.

                      I offered him Stras, Kazmir-11A, and Escobar-1A...fingers crossed.

                        Now he's asking for Beltre-29B & Strasburg-13x. I countered with Abreu-28a and Dozier-9a for Beltre-29b, A Escobar-1a, Strasburg-13x, and Kazmir-11a. If I accept, I'd have:

                        Goldschmidt 14 (O16)
                        Abreu 28a
                        Kipnis 8x (I have to keep him)
                        Dozier 9a
                        D Santana 5a
                        A Garcia 1a
                        Marte 10 (O 16)
                        Felix 36a
                        Carrasco 5a
                        Street 3b
                        ~~~
                        Upton 32a
                        Span 5a
                        Porcello 1a
                        Is Dozier at 9 much of an upgrade from these other 3?
                          I certainly like Dozier better than Span for this year. Hitting better than pitching. And while I think Porcello is a real bargan at a buck push comes to shove I take Dozier.
                          Tough to compare with Upton. Dozier + 23 bucks is hard to pass up. I probably go that route depending what is back at auction to bid on.
                            Yea, it's a close enough call that it's not a huge deal if he doesn't accept and just wants to do his original offer. Beltre & Strasburg is a lot but I'll have arguably 2 of top 5 players for $42.
                              Just got Papi-4B for Alcides, Street, & Porcello. I don't think I can pull the trigger on Beltre & Stras for Abreu.
