Allen Craig's Overlap Grip

Anyone ever see a baseball player use a full overlap grip? The top hand actually surrounds the bottom hand with just the top hand's forefinger touching the handle. Could this be why he can't pull the ball? How long has he had this grip?

Yea, Youkilis did it and I recall a few others. Anything that would help him pull the ball would be a bonus.
