  • Kipnis for Hamels?

Mixed league, standard 5x5 + OPS and Quality Starts...

My Cole Hamels ($11 can be kept for 2 more years) for Jason Kipnis ($12 can only be kept for next year).

Is that a fair trade? I'd be all over it if Kipnis had 2 years like Hamels does but I still have Iwakuma ($12/2 years), Matt Harvey ($8/2 years), Dylan Bundy/Y. Ventura (each $1/2 more years). I'm also trying to add another arm through another trade (either Greinke at $20/2 years or Wacha $12/2 years).

I don't have a 2B Keeper for next year so Kipnis would fill that slot to go along with some of my other hitters (Goldschmidt, Abreu, Beltre, Billy Hamilton, George Springer, etc.).

Do people think Kipnis will bounce back to last years levels? Am I buying off of last years numbers as oppose to what I'll get for the next 1.5 years?

This is close, but I think I'd take Hamels.

      Agreed.
If DMT didn't exist we would have to invent it. There has to be a weirdest thing. Once we have the concept weird, there has to be a weirdest thing. And DMT is simply it.

I'd go Kipnis. Hitters are safer than pitchers and I'd worry more about next year than the year after.
