I reached out to the 6th place team about what I thought was a dump deal. I need SB and W/K. He is currently 7 points out of the money and since he won 2 years ago he probably isn't ready to throw in the towel. He offered:

Interesting that he snuck 2 keepers in there. I could send Soria 1X instead of Smith. My initial reaction was a firm No, because at this point in the season I should get more for keepers. However, I'm 6.5 out of first and this trade would help me overall. That said, it would probably net me about 6 points, which wouldn't put me over the top.

I don't expect JD to hit .346, but he hit 10 HR in 65 AB in Toledo before his call-up. I grabbed him as a power source and he has not disappointed. If he hits 20 HR for $1 next year he will be a great value. Still a no-brainer?

I typically never chase wins, however, with the state of things in the world of Rangers baseball right now, one would think the Porcello/Hunter return to be superior. You also would have two players with favorable salaries next year, too. You know what you're getting with Markakis and Hunter, and Nick Markakis is no Torii Hunter!

He had offered Jones 33 at one point so I added Pedroia 27 for Jones 33 to get an offensive boost (and block other owners). It's on the table...
