  • Daily Leagues - gambling?

Driving home I end up listening to a daily league strategy show and keep thinking isn't this just a fairly low win ratio gambling thing.

I assume that the guys doing this here are substantially more skilled than other but also am guessing that this is just spending some drinking/going out money.

Is anyone really ahead - or more likely I won $200 today but probably spent $500 last year?

and doesnt it take a lot of time?

It more or less is. Slightly more sophisticated than picking a winning team which is normally considered gambling. One state has already defined it as gambling (Washington, I think); I imagine more and more will.

I started out on Fanduel last season with a $2 credit, and have since won about $4,000 -- and have never put a single cent of my own money into it.

wow - have you cashed out any of it? actually I guess that you cant lose all of it unless you kept raising stakes to drastically large amounts

I've taken about $700 out, and the rest has been used (and lost) in in other games. I currently still have about $150 on the site. I did raise the stakes to $25 games, but cut back the stakes and just played more games (sometimes as many as 20 a day). I hit a nasty cold streak last July where I lost about $800 or so of my bankroll.

But that $2 credit has now paid for two baseball seasons and one football season worth of games!
