  • Trading for Goldy

    14 team....mixed...5x5...$300 draft budget.

Madducks owns Goldy so he may chime in.

I have Freeman who is $25 ($21 in a $260 league) and he can be kept in 2015 for that price. Is he worth Goldy who cannot be kept?

Do i need to sweeten the pot? He may not deal Goldy for anyone right now, but i just wanted to see what others thought?

    Thanks.

Is Madducks in the hunt? If yes, he may not want to do it now. If he is not in the hunt he may do it.

I'm one of those optimistic people who doesn't panic when i'm near the bottom even as late as July. So, the way i see it, i'm almost always in the hunt. Our league pays the top four plus $25 to each category winner. So, there's some incentive for everyone but the worst of teams to play for this year. For the record i'm currently 12th out of 14 teams. But, there's still plenty of time left to make my move.

And no i'm not trading Goldschmidt.

        We'll see about that

Can't ya'll just do this in a phone conversation? The answer to the original question was obvious (yes if dumping, no if not), so the only purpose of the post was to taunt.

No it wasnt. So you are saying no one believes Freeman can match Goldy this year? I was curious to see if anyone here thought that as i have had posters on other sites favor Freeman this year over Goldy.

I certainly don't favor Freeman over Goldschmidt, but stranger things have happened. These two aren't THAT far off in ability that they couldn't end up with Freeman slightly ahead. Still, I'd rather have Goldschmidt, but Freeman is a fine 1B.

Last year I waited and waited to take a first baseman, and was the last team in my league to do so (10 team league I believe). When I drafted my guy, Goldschmidt felt like the best player available. Anything can happen, Freeman could outplay Goldschmidt this year, just as Goldschmidt outplayed most 1B last year.
Considering his only baseball post in the past year was bringing up a 3 year old thread to taunt Hornsby and he's never contributed a dime to our hatpass, perhaps?
