To no one's surprise, Olivo is now without a team.

Rotoworld: Dodgers release C Miguel Olivo.
The Dodgers aren't very pleased with Olivo, who took a bite out of teammate Alex Guerrero's ear in a dugout fight Tuesday afternoon at Triple-A Albuquerque. The 35-year-old catcher was batting .368/.407/.605 with four home runs and 20 RBI in 20 games this season at the Triple-A level but may struggle to find a new team. Guerrero needed plastic surgery and could be out for five weeks. May 22 - 2:12 PM

Listen, my children, and you shall hear
Of the afternoon snack that made no one cheer,
On the twentieth of May, in Albuquerque:
Hardly a man would be so quirky
As to take a bite from his teammate's ear.

Olivo should be charged and imprisoned.

Anyone else thinking roid rage here? Reminds me of Roger Clemens "mistaking" a broken bat for a ball and throwing it at Mike Piazza.

Either that, or he's secretly on the Giants payroll.
