How long of an absence are we looking at?
My two big money buys in my NL-only were Trumbo and Heyward...sweet. -
Just how long, neither the Diamondbacks nor Trumbo would say. But Trumbo said he had a stress fracture in his right foot at the end of the 2011 season. That injury took 5 ½ months to heal. This one, he said, isn't as bad.
"That was a pain," Trumbo said. "That one took a long time. But this one probably should be significantly less."I was in the process of trading for him, I guess that gets tabled now...Trumbo said he will have a better sense for how long he'll be out upon visiting with Diamondbacks team physician Dr. Michael Lee in Phoenix this week.
"I don't have a timetable for you," Gibson said. "I'm sure it'll be extended."Comment
