  • Bleepin' Monday Injury Blues...

Damn, I hate it when you have a guy go on the DL on Monday, AFTER the weekly lineup window has closed...

The White Sox will place Chris Sale on the disabled list with a flexor muscle strain.

The White Sox announced earlier Monday that Sale wouldn't make his next scheduled start due to "general soreness," but now we have more details. The good news is that the left-hander has no ligament damage in his elbow, but a flexor strain is still something that could cause a lengthy absence. Charlie Leesman will replace Sale in Chicago's rotation.

This one sucks, and also Cuddyer went on the DL today.

That's the great thing about -only leagues! Cuddyer went down and I didn't have a chance to replace him, but as the only guy who I could activate would have been Zach Walters, who cares?

(Ramos, Cuddyer, Quentin, Schafer all DL'ed, TSanchez sent down, meh)
In the best of times, our days are numbered, anyway. And it would be a crime against Nature for any generation to take the world crisis so solemnly that it put off enjoying those things for which we were presumably designed in the first place, and which the gravest statesmen and the hoarsest politicians hope to make available to all men in the end: I mean the opportunity to do good work, to fall in love, to enjoy friends, to sit under trees, to read, to hit a ball and bounce the baby.
