Looks like he really reached for Holliday or Wright in round 1. Should have done better than that. Maybe better in round 2 as well if it was a high pick. Looks like he's punting saves. If Bautista doesn't hit 40+ bombs, he'll be hurting in that category as well. All other categories look to be middle of the pack. I think it's going to be a long season for this team. Sorry, JMHO.

In a 20 teamer, I think that he did really well. There are no obvious holes, plenty of speed, and plenty of starting pitching. Like madducks said, he's going to be hunting for saves...I would never recommend punting a category, it just leaves you with too big a hill to climb. Take some of that excess speed (Maybin, if he starts well) and deal it for a closer.

Yeah, I think that's a fine offense for a 20 teamer. If Hawkins can get 20-25 saves then he only needs to add 1 more closer to get a few points. Ratios and Ks aren't elite but should be mid-pack.

            Is that good or bad?

He took Wright with pick 15 or 16. Bryce Harper and Puig were available.

Thanks - this makes sense. He got burned on a huge closer run

Unless Walt Weiss is Rocky Mountain high, i think Rex Brothers ends up getting more saves than the 41 year old Hawkins.

                  Sorry. I got interupted.

It's good, with caveats. That looks like quite an offense for 20 teams, though it would look better with Harper. I am less impressed than my first reaction, because the pitching is not nearly as good as the offense.

That said, it is well established that pitching is easier to get off WW than hitting. Also I think Ogando will do well for him. He should do well.
