And so it begins:
Matt Kemp's agent, Dave Stewart, said Tuesday that his client is unlikely to be ready for the season opener against the Diamondbacks on March 22 in Australia.
Kemp underwent shoulder and ankle surgeries in October and is currently running and swinging at about 60 percent and "getting close" to feeling like himself. Stewart believes that the 29-year-old would be ready if the season started on April 1, but it sounds like the Dodgers will have to get by without him for the opening series at the very least. Fantasy owners should monitor his status carefully in the spring.
