Wow, what a crazy season for the Braves. After losing Acuna, Strider, Albies, and now Riley, somehow the Braves are still in the Wildcard hunt.

I guess it helps when you still have Ozuna and Sale.

Chris Sale got his 18th win today. He would appear to be the only pitcher w a shot at 20 wins this year, as the pitcher w the 2nd most wins is Tarik Skubal w 17 and he has only 2 more starts left. BTW, Sale also leads MLB in ERA at 2.38. Pretty good for a 35-y/o.

The Wednesday and Thursday games between the Mets and Braves in Atlanta have both been postponed due to Hurricane Helene and will be played as part of a doubleheader Monday.

The NL playoffs just got more interesting.

Chris Sale has been scratched from Game 2 against the Mets because of back spasms, and Grant Holmes will start in his place.

And Holmes was great, tossing 4.0 scoreless innings as part of a combined shutout and the Braves are in the playoffs.
